Shawn Skylark continues to maintain pianos for thousands of new and regular clients. His ability to meet the needs of the most demanding professionals is unparalleled.

 Shawn has extensive experience tuning, voicing, and regulating some of the worlds most exclusive pianos for a broad range of professional artists and “serious” amateurs, but he can improve the stability and tone of even the most “humble” piano.

Shawn Skylark’s Resume

1972 - 1974: Apprenticeship with nationally known technician Jim Geiger in Springfield, Ohio.
1974 - 1976: Advanced apprenticeship in San Francisco with Sheldon Smith, a “legend" in the piano tuning world who was regarded as one of the great Steinway rebuilders in the country, as well as being the principle technician to the SF Symphony. Rebuilt the pianos (mostly Steinways) and actions in his shop for two years.

UC Berkeley piano

1984 - 1986: Worked as the UC Berkeley piano technician, maintaining all the pianos .
